Saudi consulate warns citizens with Storm Idalia set to make landfall

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s consulate in Texas has warned Saudi citizens living in or visiting Florida to remain on alert as Tropical Storm Idalia is set to make landfall.

In a tweet, the consulate stressed the importance of following instructions issued by the authorities for dealing with the change in weather conditions.

In case of emergencies, it also advised citizens to call the following numbers: 281-889-0570, 281-917-8658, or 281-917-8305.

Idalia is expected to attain major-hurricane status, with sustained winds topping at least 179kph, on Wednesday morning before reaching land later in the day, according to the Miami-based National Hurricane Center (NHC).
